Gary Thorpe

Director of Operations and Clinical Lead

Gary's career as a mental health nurse spans circa 30 years and in that time he has worked across a variety of inpatient and community settings and held a number of senior leadership positions. He has a background in high dependency nursing within secure care settings occupying a number of positions within practice development and neuro rehabilitation at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. Gary’s work has also included the co-authoring of secure care themed publications and conference presentations at a national and international level. Towards the end of his time with Mersey Care he was invited to work with other care services, both nationally and internationally to share ideas and practice with colleagues and service users developing recovery focussed initiatives within their services.

James Fitzsimons

Registered Manager - The Manse

James Has worked in the care industry for over 17 years. The majority of this time was spent working with individuals with challenging behaviour, supporting both children and adults in residential care. James has also worked in clinical settings supporting children with their mental health. We are incredibly proud of the journey James has taken with Longmoor Care. He has worked with Longmoor since the day the business opened. He began his career as a Support Worker, progressed to Team Leader, then Deputy Manager before becoming a Registered Manager in his own right since 2024. His qualifications exactly match the requisite level required for each of his roles. He completed a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care before successfully attaining a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Liz Snow

Liz has circa 25 years of experience in the care sector. She has held a number of roles and in so doing has progressed from a support worker to senior management. In this time she has gained extensive knowledge and skills across all areas of care. She has, and continues to remain dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, ensuring that every individual she supports' has the opportunity to live a deep, fulfilling and enriched life. Liz's passion lies in promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life, while leading with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. By combining hands-on experience with strong leadership abilities, she continue to champion best practices and inspire teams to deliver exceptional standards of care.

Julie has over 25 years of experience in managerial positions, successfully overseeing services for neurodiverse individuals. Latterly specialising in managing a service for citizens complex LDA. Julie is devoted to providing a person-centred approach that enables individuals to thrive and lead fulfilled lives.
